We moved to Thorndale 10 years ago this April. Since then, we have spent time and energy into turning our little 10 acre piece of paradise into not only our family home, but land that not only feeds us, but has the ability to feed others within our community. We are in our 2nd year of selling CSA (community supported agriculture) shares or more commonly known as 'veggie baskets', and are proud to be co-founders and the chair of the Thorndale Farmers' Market, as well as vendors.
We also have a farm-gate store, where customers can by directly from the farm (and take a tour of what is growing both in the fields on on our pasture). From us you will find a seasonal variety of vegetables, free range eggs, and lamb, and new to our farm last year are honey bees and a breeding pair of Kune Kune pigs, with plans of pasture raised pork in the future.
We are now taking registration for our 2017 CSA shares. Last year we sold out by the end of April.
Mention I Love Thorndale, during the month of March and receive eggs for a discounted price of $2/dozen.
2nd annual Open House is Saturday May 27th, 2017 10-3. Farm tours, vegetable plants and seeds for sale along with our other homestead goodies, along with burgers from 11-2.
